Highbank Garden Maintenance

On Wednesday 3rd of July a group of volunteers from GE Aerospace picked up their hedge trimmers, secateurs and headed to one of our supported living properties Highbank, to tackle the overgrowth that winter had left. The outdoor space at Highbank was severely overgrown, almost inaccessible and quite bleak to look at. After just one days work GE Aerospace had transformed Highbank garden into not only an accessible outdoor space, but they had purchased and planted new beautiful plants into pots and boarders. They also treated some of the garden furniture with wood preserver so ensure longevity.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to GE Aerospace for choosing to volunteer with us!

The results really speak for themselves:

Ermin Garden Maintenance

On Tuesday 18th of June 4 volunteers from Bank of Scotland picked up their hedge trimmers, secateurs and headed to one of our supported living properties Ermin, to tackle the overgrowth that winter had left. The garden at Ermin was in immediate need of maintenance to be accessible and user friendly. With the hard work and determination from our 4 volunteers the garden is now open for use as the summer sun starts to emerge.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Bank of Scotland for choosing to volunteer with us!

Peter Sayers

We are very sad to say that one of our Trustees – Peter Sayers, passed away last month, following a very short illness. Peter was a Trustee first at St. Vincent’s and continued to serve in this voluntary capacity when St George’s Association and St Vincent’s merged and continued to support our charity with the subsequent re-brand to Aim Up.

We would like to thank Peter for all his years of service for us and extend our deepest condolences to his family and close friends. It was a pleasure to know you.

Cheltenham’s Three Peaks Challenge 2024

On Saturday 8th of June over 280 people joined us at Well Close House to tackle our annual fundraiser. 22 miles of Gloucestershire’s Three tallest peaks, a long day of walking and lots of smiles later we met our wonderful walkers at the finish line with medals to congratulate and beverages to celebrate. We were lucky with the weather and even luckier with our walkers, there were good vibes all around and we really couldn’t have enjoyed the day more.

We would like to say a huge thank you to our fabulous volunteers, they made the day the success it was and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without them!

Together we raised an incredible amount of money that will go towards supporting our services users and the 3 other charities supported by the Mayor of Cheltenham’s Charity Appeal for 2024/25.  We also raised a great amount of awareness of our charity and the crucial impact we have on our local community.

Congratulations of all 286 of our walkers!

We can’t wait to see you next year for even more fundraising fun. Keep your eyes peeled for our other fundraisers throughout the year.
