Phoenix

In early 2022, our Trustees made the incredibly difficult decision to close Phoenix. Over the last ten years, the priorities for funding have changed, and there was less Funding available for building based group activities. Unfortunately, the income generated no longer covered the services overheads, and as our lease came to an end: we closed the door to 86-90 Winchombe Street in November 2022. 

Whilst this was a difficult decision to make, we worked to ensure the people supported at Phoenix had alternative services they could transition to, and still receive care and support from Aim Up. In early December, we transitioned to provide an Outreach Service which, one year on, is still being enjoyed by people who previously accessed Phoenix. 

Thanks to an incredibly generous grant, we are able to develop our own Hub, which has recently been granted planning permission. As we progress with this project, we will keep our website and social media updated. 

We would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for activities, supported us and worked for us over the last ten years whilst we were based at 86-90 Winchombe Street: we hope you all had as much fun as we did!
